Angelique Hat
Break a few hearts this season with the Angelique. Loosely fitted, with a hearts and teardrop pattern, this hat gives you feminine style without the helmet hair. Substitute wool for additional warmth.
Gauge: 1” = 6 stitches
Materials:
US 5 circular needles**
second set if circular needles, US5 or smaller
tapestry needle
2 skeins (218 yd) KnitPicks® Comfy Worsted yarn
Note: While the needle size and gauge are smaller than recommended for this yarn, you pick up a good amount of “give” with the alternation of knit and purl stitches and from the stitches that are dropped when knitting into the row below. Using a larger needle/gauge can make the heart less well-defined.
To make a smaller hat, reduce the number of M1P and adjust subsequent stretches of purl stitches accordingly.
