These mittens are a fresh take on our workhorse mittens. With 8 kiddos I needed something simple and fast but warm too. They stay on amazingly well thanks to a long cuff. If you use a superwash wool it makes them fairly waterproof but also usable for play.

Perfecting this pattern to get the perfect mitten for my busy, outdoorsy kiddos took several winters but all that work was worth it. And now I get to share them with you.

Materials:
-80-160yds bulky weight (size 5) yarn (I Lion Brand Two of Wands Hue & Me)
-size 8 (5mm) dpn or circular needles(for magic loop method)
-yarn needle
-stitch marker
-stitch holder
-cable needle
