Angry Uterus Beach Bag
I’ve been avoiding publishing my first ‘Tapestry Crochet’ or ‘graph’ pattern because I thought all the teenie numbers would make my head spin, but this absolute UNIT of a market bag was nothing but delightful to work up!
This is the perfect accessory to not only haul your book and beach towels, but may it also serve as a reminder that we’re still here and we’re still angry!
Using worsted weight acrylic yarn, a 5mm hook for the body and a 4mm hook for the handles- this monster works up to 18 inches wide, 20 inches tall, with 20 inch handles (when folded). Of course, you can decrease your hook sizes or use cotton yarn to increase stability.
-I used very simple stitches for this pattern, but I absolutely suggest being familiar with the tapestry crochet technique before undertaking such a large project.
-Pattern is written using US terminology.
-I’ve included the chart for the design itself as well as the written instructions, I find it easier to follow the graph once the design gets started.
Materials:
-Worsted Weight Acrylic Yarn: 850 yards of your chosen base color (tan in photos), small amount of black (B), pink (P), light pink (LP) and white (W)
-5.0mm and 4.0mm hooks.
-Tapestry Needle to weave ends.
