Ania Cowl
This pattern was designed for my mother, whose Polish name, Ania, means “Gracious”. This intricate textured cowl is created using only 5 different stitches.
What’s good about this pattern: it uses 100g/250m of DK/8ply yarn, making it the perfect one skein wonder! It’s made primarily of double crochet and treble crochet stitches, so this cowl works up fast and will be done in a flash! It’s a 6 row repeating pattern, so it’s easy to memorise. If that’s not enough, this pattern also creates a piece with an almost invisible seam!
This pattern is beginner friendly, with photos of each row included in the pattern. A chart is also included for additional support.
Stitches used (US terminology used throughout):
ch - chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet
ss – slip stitch
Finished dimensions: 30cm X 25cm when laid flat (60cm around)
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about the pattern and I will do my best to help out. I would love to see photos of pieces you’ve created using this pattern, so please consider sharing them on social media.
