Anika
“Anika” was inspired by the many woven striped scarves I have admired over the years. Linen stitch emulates a woven fabric beautifully with it’s smooth, crisp face, and strands of yarn threading over and under each other. What you lose in drape by converting what was woven to a knit, you gain in warmth with this densely formed fabric. The body of the scarf is made up of 5 solid sections and 6 stripe sections in neutral colors, with a brighter 2-color Linen stitch section at either end to add a pop of color topped off with a trim of bouncy bobbles. The pattern is written for 4 different yarn weights so you get to choose your thickness and knitting speed.
“Anika” kits are available through O-Wool in 6 gorgeous color combos here. Kits include all the yarn needed to knit Size 1, sport weight. Pattern sold separately.
