This is for a throw pillow based on the fossils in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The pillow is worked in the round, and the shell and star motifs are crocheted separately and sewn on before stuffing.

I saw a few other fossil pillows patterns, but this one is different because

• it is worked in the round
• the pillow is large enough to be a throw pillow on your couch or bed (about 12” or 30 cm tall)
• I created unique stitches to create a more shell-like shell

Gauge does not matter, as long as the stuffing doesn’t come through. If you use different yarn or a different size hook, the size of your pillow will vary more.

I used:
2 skeins of Lion Brand Hometown USA: Fort Worth Blue (269 g)
Less than 1 skein Lion Brand Hometown USA: New York White (39 g)
