This very warm bonnet can be worn in two ways. It can be worn as an oversized hood, or the ends can be turned outward, resulting in the trim of the hood turning inward towards the neck and framing the face to provide extra warmth on blustery days.

It is made using a thermal stitch, resulting in a double-thickness fabric for extra warmth. The thickness of the trim allows it to hold its shape close to the face when the ends are turned outward.

HOOK: 5.50 mm/US I9
Yarn:

  • Paton’s Canadiana (#4 worsted), Colour: Aran, 350g (12.35oz) / 654.5m (723.7y)
  • Bernat Knit or Knot Bella (#5 bulky), Colour: Brown, 600g/21oz/360m/393y

Note: Bella is discontinued, but any long faux fur type eyelash yarn will work.
