This pattern uses twisted stitches and crocheted edging to create a scarf inspired by Downton Abbey - in particular a coat worn by Anna Bates.

The pattern, which is in US terminology, produces a short scarf which is easily lengthened.

You’ll need (at least) 2 skeins of the primary yarn (Sean Sheep Rockbank) and 1 skein of the secondary yarn (Carnival 8 ply). However, this pattern is very adaptable to different yarns - though some may produce a wider or thinner scarf if you don’t test the gauge first.

Gauge is worked in the scarf pattern, alternating two different rows. (Information in the pattern)

The pattern also includes a pared down, printable pattern page (the last page of the pattern) to save on printing costs.

Many thanks to my excellent testers rebby and Ems512 who made beautiful scarves and gave brilliant feedback
