Annabella
The pattern is reedited on 14th aug. 2020. The charts are the same, the instructions are more detailed.
I fell in love with shetland lace shawls at first sight. At that moment I decided that I will knit them. They are beautiful, comfortable, practical and have a noble look. This shawl is a typical wedding ring lace shawl. Made with extremely fine yarn and quite thin needles. One need a huge bunch of concentration and patience working on it. However, it is worth to give it a try, because the result is fascinating. And therefore only a few diverse stitches are needed.
After a few test projects I begun to construct my own designs. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed designing it.
Techniques you will need:
- provisional cast on
- yarn over for increasing
- decreasing (knit 2 together, slip-knit-pull,slip-k2tog-pull)
- garter stitch
- seam/sew together
- blocking/steaming
Knitting from inside out, joining as you knit. Grafting only a few stitches of the edging, and only two ends to wave in.
