If you love the war time look, this vintage style war time sweater is the ideal creative project. It is knitted flat on two needles, and the ribs/welts and neckline are knitted on a circular needles. It knits up in to a really pretty textured fabric with filled and unfilled diamonds and tiny garter ridges. It is finished off with a cute little bow. You could knit it without the bow if you prefer.

This sweater really captures the war time fashion feel, where the female silhouette was commonly fashioned with close fitting figure hugging garments that really flattered the female form.

3 x 100 g/330 m balls – Patons 100% Cotton 4 ply. Shade 1173 Pale Blue.
2 mm 40 cm circular needle.
2.5 mm needles.
2 x Stitch holders.
Round end small tapestry needle.

Skills needed to complete this item
Cast-on/Cast-off, Knit, Knit stitches together, M1L (left slanted lifted inc) From the front, lift strand between stitches with left needle, knit into back of loop.
M1R (right slanted lifted inc) From the back, lift strand between stitches with left needle, knit into front of loop. Purl.
