NOTES:

  1. This pattern is written for the right handed crocheter
  2. This pattern is written in US terms and uses basic stitches: SC, HDC, DC, post stitches
  3. This pattern is written with the beginner in mind and includes lots of photos to help you along the way
  4. Photos shown are from the adult size so you have the best possible view of stitches
  5. This project is worked double stranded for most of the pattern allowing it to work up quite quickly
  6. This pattern was designed using RHSS yarns and was tested using CSS, RHSS, and ILTY. CSS works up slightly smaller than the other yarns. I recommend not using it for this project or trying the next size up (i.e. if you want to make the child size, make the teen size with this yarn) to get correct measurements for sizing needed
  7. This pattern includes 2 ways to tighten the hood
  8. This pattern includes 4 sizes: toddler, child, teen, adult
  9. Guage using size “N” (10.00 MM) hook and DC/ HDC post pattern: 2 rows = 2”; 5 sts = 2”
  10. You can generally wash the finished product in luke warm water and dry on low heat or lay flat to dry, however you need to pay attention to the wash instructions for the type of yarn and/or fur you are using along the edge of the hood as each brand/type can be different
  11. Colored numbers in parenthesis at beginning of rounds are coordinated to size making the pattern easier to follow
  12. Unless stated otherwise, chains do not count in stitch count
