This model of Anne LIster from the television programme Gentleman Jack stands at just over 30cm tall (top hat included). I made her to celebrate Pride Month, since Anne Lister is widely thought to be the first ‘modern’ lesbian.
You will need:
Dk yarn in cream (or a suitable skin colour) and dark brown
4ply yarn in white, black, dark blue, and beige
embroidery thread in white, dark brown, black, pale pink, and pale purple
Regular sewing cotton in dark brown and cream (to match the skin colour)
8 white 6mm buttons
3 black 6mm buttons
Polyester toy stuffing
A darning needle, embroidery needle, and a regular sewing needle
Dark blue 6mm beads
A pet brush
A 12cm length of cardboard
A thin knitting needle (The exact gauge doesn’t matter)
A saucepan and kettle
PVA glue and a paintbrush
