This triangular shawl is knit in Triple Seed Stitch, the stitch used for the Original Prayer Shawl pattern. It starts in the center of the long side of the trianle and adds 4 stitches every other row. It has a spine of several stitches.

The shawl can be knit with any weight yarn, and any needle that you get a nice fabric from. You can knit until you run out of yarn. The pattern has instructions for how to determine that you have enough yarn for your cast-off. I will add dimensions and yarns that were used for this as samples will be finished.
