Anniversary Cowl No 2
When designing the Anniversary Cowl, I was inspired by a series of elegant diamond-shaped lace stitches that are similar in style though varying in size.
Many ancient cultures believed that diamonds gave the wearer strength and courage during battle. Diamonds have long been associated with love, romance, and commitment. Often given as gifts to mark important occasions, it seemed like the perfect theme to adorn this special design.
The Anniversary Cowl is a shaped tubular cowl knit in the round from the bottom up. The lace stitch pattern sections are interspersed with soothing stockinette interludes where the shaping takes place.
After beginning with a delicate and decorative Channel Island Cast-On, you’ll knit a series of three different engaging lace sections that gradually decrease in size to create gentle shaping as you proceed through the project. A coordinating decorative Channel Island Bind-Off completes the cowl.
