The fingering version of my lace shawl, “Peacock Dance”, can be lightly blocked for a casual, comfy, squishy knit (gray/chartreuse sample & green sample) or enthusiastically blocked to create an elegant filigree (red sample). A great project for new-to-lace-knitters, you’ll love the squishy softness of our hypoallergenic, 100% Tibetan yak down yarn.

Yarn: 2 skeins Reywa Fibers Haven (100% Tibetan yak down, 2 ply fingering, 110g/400 yards) Samples shown in Crimson & Crimson Home; Storm Rising (gray) & Luscious (chartreuse).

A slightly smaller version is possible with one skein. Sample shown in Woodlands (green).

Yardage: MC- 260 yds/65 g CC- 200 yds/50 g

Suggested Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm) or size needed for desired effect

Notions:

• 2 stitch markers
• tapestry needle

Finished Dimensions: Lightly blocked to 21” long & 44” across top

Aggressive blocking will give you larger dimensions

Gauge: 22 sts & 48 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter st after lightly blocking.

Gauge and blocking style will affect yardage and dimensions.
