Anthophilia
Note: Pattern has been revised, the round-by-round photos won’t match exactly, but should still be helpful.
Are you tired of working blocks from the center out? Do you ever wish you could shake things up and try it the other way ‘round? Do you love the look of 4-patch blocks but hate joining? Are you crazy about floral motifs?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then Anthophilia, Lover of Flowers, is the pattern for you!
My husband noticed that when I’m making blocks I measure, a lot. He asked if it wouldn’t be easier to start from the outside and work in, then you’d always know it was going to be exactly the right size.
Back in February I spent the better part of the month mulling this over. I’d never seen a project worked this way and thought I’d give it a try. After four successful outside-in patterns I thought I’d shake things up and try something new.
