Anthracite and Lavender Shawl
I named this shawl “Anthracite and lavender” because it looks like shiny coal but is so luxurious that it needed a fancier name, therefore this beautiful word for a type of coal.
This triangular shawl has three sections. Two sections are done in garter stitch and one section is done in lace. It uses two colours but it could easily be done in one solid colour, or more than two colours if you prefer.
The shawl is worked from a few cast-on stitches on one end and expands on the other end using increases on one side. It is light enough and perfect to be worn all year round, hugging your shoulders.
The pattern has written instructions, a chart for the lace section, and a photo tutorial showing the stitch used for those who like to follow the pictures. The shawl is fairly easy to do once you get the hang of it. You can make it as big or as small as you like.
Happy knitting!
