Anthropomorphic Headband
A great last minute gift with simple cables and a slipped stitch icord edge. Knits up very quickly.
This headband was inspired by ‘that certain store’. It is a great way to use up the odd bit of ‘good’ yarn you have leftover from a project or a fabulous excuse to treat yourself to a short-yardage skein of opulent yarn.
Skill level: Advanced beginner. There are links to tutorials for a provisional cast-on and the kitchener stitch.
Clarification: The provisional cast on row is row 0. You begin Row 1 after that cast on row. You always slip the last two stitches of each row with the yarn toward the back side (the wrong side) of the headband. This forms the icord.
