Living in a warmer climate encourages a knitter to be creative in choice of projects. I wanted this sweater to be a bit of a paradox: simultaneously cozy yet breathable. This lace repeat worked at a loose gauge in an alpaca yarn achieves just that. Use a cotton or bamboo blend or experiment with even lighter weight yarns, just make sure to achieve the pattern gauge on your larger needles so that your finished measurements work out for the right fit. The sweater is worked top-down in the round, all in one piece. Stitch pattern is both written and charted. It is modeled in Size S with 2”/5 cm negative ease at the bust. The stretchy lace has a lot of give; choose the size within 2”/5 cm of your actual chest whether it is a larger or smaller number. Pattern is designed for knitters comfortable with following an intermediate level lace pattern.
