This is a simple but fun cowl that will easily become a staple of your cold weather wardrobe. And, using only one skein of DK-weight yarn, is a great pattern for gift knitting!

200 yards of DK-weight yarn will yield a cowl that is about 7.5” deep and 20” around, but the pattern can be easily modified for a longer or deeper version. Notes on this are included in the instructions. (You can also substitute other yarn weights if you’re feeling adventurous!)
