Socks are cast on at the toes and worked toe-up. Foot is worked to adjustable length with a peasant heel. Socks are worked seamlessly in the round to the cuff, then peasant heel is worked with decreases and grafted shut.

Pale green shoots press up through the sun warmed earth, breaking forth as the spring wakens the latent bulbs. Vernal daffodil, Hyacinth, and Tulip open their doors and wave banners of cheer to the cloudless day. A checkered coverlet is neatly folded into thirds and placed aside small, delicate plates strongly secured into the side of the lined wicker basket. Atop those, basic sandwiches, loose fruits, and sticks of celery and carrot. Robins bounce along the ground, abruptly fluttering away as the picnickers approach. Coverlet spread, lunch assembled, the picknickers enjoy their sole entertainment: the welcoming Spring Song of robins.
