At the yarn store I fell in love with a bright-color skein of Manos del Uruguay Maxima—it had neon pink and baby blue on a gray background. The bright colors called out for a modern design. Yet the name of the colorway was “Marie Antoinette.” It seemed about as old fashioned as the crazy Marie Antoinette costumes in some music videos I have seen. I wanted to create something other teens would be interested in too. I chose an hourglass cable design which looks up to date compared to old fashioned twisted cables. I made sure that the scarf would lie flat and not curl. Instruction are in written form and as a chart so you can learn to read them also. It’s worth the “time” it will take to finish this, so don’t lose patience. This was my first cable project, and I hope you will enjoy making one too.

All proceeds from this pattern will be put directly in my college savings fund. Instructions are in written form and charted. Please support my education in the principles of design!
