Antrim Lake
Ripples float across the smooth surface of this vest, while the front falls gracefully open. The back skims the upper body and then drifts gently away from the hips. It is knit flat in one piece, from right front through the back, where a pop of color is introduced, to the left front. Arm bands are added after the shoulders are seamed.
Skills: Knit and purl stitch patterns, simple shaping, simple intarsia
Sizes: For actual cross back measurement of
14-15½ (16-17, 17½-18½)”
Note: This is an open front vest that fits the upper back with standard ease. Check schematic for details.
Gauge: 21 sts/33 rows = 4” in stockinette, wet blocked. Swatch both yarns. Lace weight yarn (Bloom) is held double.
Gauge must be accurate to ensure correct fit and adequate yarn. This garment is worked sideways so stitch gauge is the more important, and all lengths are given in rows or inches.
