"Anything Goes Shawl"
Any weight yarn, Any size needle, to make Any size you want! What a perfect recipe! Use leftovers or some of your stash. There is also a gorgeous ruffled edge to finish it off. You start at the center top and work outwards until you want to end it. No rules but lots of fun and a very easy project.
Materials:
Any weight yarn.
Any size needle. Example - Fingering weight is nice with 5-8, sport, 6-9, worsted, 9-11, bulky, 11-15. But this is just an estimate.
Models- Red/Grey is a fingering/sport weight yarn spun and plied by Stonehedge. I used size 8 needles and 231 grams and measures 72” across top, 36” from top to bottom point.
The brown (next page) is Malabrigo worsted on size 10 needles I used 235 grams, and it measures 48” across top, 26” from top to bottom point.
The ruffle will eat up a lot of yarn, plan on about 1/3 of your total weight to be the ruffle. The good thing is you can end your ruffle at any point or use up what yarn you have left. On the multicolor shawl, I used about 77gm for the ruffle, I worked bound off on row 14.
