My Apartment blanket is inspired by the tv show, Friends. Friends is my favorite tv show, so I have been planning for a while now to do a project where the colors are inspired by Monica and Rachel’s apartment. Typically, I am not a big fan of purple, but I really like the way the purple walls look with the rest of the furniture and decorations in the apartment. Therefore, I made this blanket! A lot of us probably already have multiple traditional granny square blankets, so I wanted this blanket to be a little bit different from the traditional granny square. The squares start as circles and turn into squares.
Join as you go is used to join the squares. There is a photo tutorial included in the pattern if you have not used this method before!
I used Paintbox Cotton Aran yarn: 6 pale lilac, 4 mustard yellow, 3 marine blue, 3 vanilla cream, 3 racing green, 3 lime green, 3 ballet pink, and 3 vintage pink. However, any aran or medium weight yarn will work well for this blanket! I hope you enjoy the pattern!
