Honeybees are members of the genus, Apis; bees and their honeycombs inspired the lace for the Apis Shawl. Apis is a crescent shawl knit from the top down, beginning at the center. It is worked flat and consists of garter stitch with a honeycomb & lace edge, providing an impressive finished shawl.

Great for stashbusting: the small size uses appropriately one single skein or partial skeins could be alternated. Both written & chart instructions are provided for the honeycomb & lace edge. Apis could also be worked in other yarn weights with the appropriate needle size to create your desired drape; this would affect gauge and therefore also the finished size.
