The Apothecary Bag is cast on using Judy’s Magic Cast-on, then worked in the round on DPNs from the bottom up. Pattern features a gusseted edge on the sides of the bag, worked via purls and alternating knit and slipped stitches, a front fern leaf lacework panel, and a plain stockinette back panel (that can be easily modified to mirror the front, if desired, to have the same lacework panel on both sides of the bag), a ribbon band for closure, and a folded picot edge top to give the appearance of lace trim. Pattern features knits and purls, slipped stitches, yarn overs, increases, decreases, and whip-stitch sewing to fold the edge over at the top to give extra sturdiness to the bag closure. Instructions are written.
