Apothecary's Pocket drawstring bag
The Apothecary’s Pocket is a small drawstring bag made from about 30yds of leftover sock yarn. The pattern includes two variations, a single drawstring with a toggle, and a double drawstring.
Use it to hold a lip balm and spare key, or vitamin pills, or anything small you want to keep together.
In addition to the yarn, you will need either half a yard of 1/8in woven cord and a toggle for the single drawstring version, or a yard of 1/4in woven cord for the drawstring version, both of which should be available from your local fabric store.
Knit with a needle one size larger than you normally use for socks. Skills required include knitting in the round, provisional crochet cast-on, and m1 by using the bar between stitches.
Also includes instructions for a Kumite version for holding a mouth-guard that includes two air vents at the bottom. I keep one in my karate sparring gear bag to keep my mouth-guard separate and clean.
This pattern is not for commercial use.
