Apple Blossom Triangular Shawl
Reminiscent of the spring when apple blossoms are in bloom, when some days are warm, others chilly; a fun shawl to wrap yourself in. Pattern stitches used in the triangular shawl are named after different varieties of apples or other words affiliated with apples: Golden Delicious, Macintosh, Rome, Pink Lady, Red Delicious, Johnny Appleseed and Sliced Apples, Spring Buds. Some stitches are familiar to most of you; four pattern stitches are new, created by the designer. Started at the widest part (shoulders) and worked down to the point, the more you knit, the quicker it will seem to go. My test knitters loved the fact I purposefully designed the shawl this way; it increased their motivation. Decreased stitches are worked at the inside edge of the borders. This was fun to design; it should be a joy to knit.
I used a hand-dyed yarn from Raggz Fiber called Versa. The pattern includes information if you want to purchase this yarn. Other DK weight yarns could be substituted.
