This quick project makes a great teacher gift! I think a set with two whole apples sandwiching some apple slices would make any teacher feel appreciated. The Apple for the Teacher Coaster is the final coaster in the “A Little Slice of Summer Coaster Set.” This coaster is worked seamlessly in the round, starting from the outer cast on edge decreasing to the center. The leaf and stem are worked flat separately (with 1 small seam) and attached.

Skills Necessary: Working in the round, k2tog, p2tog, seaming, basic embroidery

Needles:
• US size 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles (set of 4)
or
• US size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle long enough for magic loop
or size to obtain correct gauge
