Apple Hat & Booties Set
This pattern is best attempted if you have some experience with crochet – it
uses chains, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, treble
crochet and slip stitches. Special stitch back-post single crochet is also used for the booties. In addition you should be familiar with working in rows as well as rounds, and comfortable working single crochet decreases.
Sizes: Newborn – 3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months

Small amount of KnitPicks Swish Worsted Weight Yarn - Dublin
Small amount of KnitPicks Switch Worsted Weight Yarn – Allspice
Crochet hook US I9/5.50mm
Crochet hook US H8/5.00mm
Gauge for hat:
5 rows = 2 inches (5 cms)
8 half-double crochet = 2 inches (5 cms)
Materials for booties:
25-30 grams KnitPicks Swish Worsted Weight Yarn - Serrano
Small amount of KnitPicks Swish Worsted Weight Yarn - Dublin
Crochet hook US F6/4.0mm
Crochet hook US G7/4.5mm
Gauge for booties:
With F hook: 5 double crochet stitches = 1 inch (2.5 cms); 4 single crochet rows = 1 inch (2.5 cms)
With G hook: 4.5 double crochet stitches = 1 inch (2.5 cms); 3.5 single crochet rows = 1 inch (2.5 cms)
