When I was a kid, my parents used to take me apple picking in the fall and my mother would make and freeze 50 apple pies for the winter months. Carmel apples were my favorite after school snack. Yes, I was a chubby little girl. My teachers at school caught on and somehow enticed me to entice her to bring one apple pie for every teacher in the entire school to celebrate Johnny Apple Seed’s Birthday. Yes, she really did load up the back of her Pinto station wagon with homemade apple pies for all of the teachers . Yes, it did take a bit of apple polishing to get me through school. hee! hee! hee!
