Matching Children’s size Après Ski Sweater

Construction: This is a top down, “varsity” style raglan. Colorwork charts are made with the CC as two strands of DK held double. The charts can be arranged on the front or back of the chest. (Due to the bulkiness of the “Ski” panel, I would recommend leaving the other panel blank, otherwise size up for more room in the chest circumference.)

“Ladder back jacquard” OR intarsia in the round or flat can be used. If knitting the front and back panels flat, mattress stitch will be required for seaming before joining in the round again for the rest of the body.

Herringbone cuffs, hem, and neckline as an alternative to traditional ribbing details.

Fit: 1” positive ease (if more desired, please size up)

Yarn:
MC and CC (2 strands held together):
Priestess by Ritual Dyes: DK-weight in “In the Pines”
100% extra-fine superwash Merino wool
250 yds (228 m)/100g

MC2 (for background MC of lettering panel):
Marona by Ritual Dyes: DK / Light Worsted in “Natural”

In the size 1-2 y/o sample, Daisy Chain by Knit Collage : Bulky in “Peony Pink”, “Stone Quartz”, and “Sweet Papaya” was used for CC, but it is a super bulky yarn and I wouldn’t recommend it. Bulky is the highest size yarn I would choose.
