This is one of those sweater designs that makes me wish I knew how to ski, mostly so I could wear it while relaxing in the lodge with a hot chocolate (and my knitting). The intarsia cable is a bit of fun in an otherwise quick-to-knit stockinette sweater. Seaming the saddles to the sweater body provides a bit of challenge in seaming a bind-off edge to a side seam.

The yarn in the sample shown is a worsted weight blend of fine targhee/rambouillet wools by Kindred Knits (kindredknits.com) - a “dream to knit” according to one of our testers.

As with all patterns created using KnitWiz Software, you provide your measurements, and KnitWiz provides personalized instructions… for a knit that fits!

Suggested yarn: Two contrasting colors, both in hue and value, DK (size 3) or Worsted weight (size 4) yarns in solid, semi-solid or heathered tones.

Construction: The body is knit in the round from the bottom to the arm openings, then knit flat. The sleeves are knit flat with a contrasting intarsia cable running from the cuff to the top of the saddle. After seaming, stitches are picked up around the neckline for the double-wide banding.
