April in the Eastfold is a lace wrap that features the Estonian patterns lily-of-the-valley and stones (diamonds). The stole begins with a provisional cast-on. After working the body, stitches are picked up all around the pieces and the edging is attached stitch by stitch. The patterns might look complex, but they’re deceptively simple and easily memorized.

The pattern has been test-knitted. It assumes that you have experience with provisional cast-ons, picking up stitches, knitting nupps, reading charts, attaching an edging and grafting (Kitchener stitch).

I used about 875 m for the original version, and my testers all used between 875 m and 1000 m. Yardage can vary depending on how hard you block and how loosely or tightly you tension your nupps.

Thank you to my testers puffycats, 3genknit and MooBooBaby. Your comments and patience were invaluable!
