Here in Indiana, April is notorious for keeping us guessing about the weather. Will it be spring or winter today? I’ve learned that the best way to stay ahead of the capricious Hoosier weather is by wearing a light scarf that will go with many of my outfits. It keeps me warm on the chilly days, but it comes right off when I start to get too hot.

I love colorful scarves, but I really wanted to create a pattern that would look beautiful in a single color too. With the use of the 3rd loop, that’s exactly what I’ve done! By working in the 3rd loop (photo tutorial included for those unfamiliar with this technique), you create a fine ribbing along the outside of this infinity scarf that almost looks like a knit stitch. You can either use the color changes listed to make the stripes really pop out of the scarf, or you can work with one color to make a lovely textured accessory that will work with the majority of your wardrobe. I made mine in white, and I absolutely love it!

This pattern comes with two variations on both the scarf and the cuff, so you’re getting 4 patterns in 1!
