When I saw the colours of this yarn I thought they looked like the colours of rain; I was inspired to design a pair of socks that mimic the pattern of raindrops on a window pane. I have tried to keep the pattern simple, but a familiarity with basic sock techniques (including wrap and turn short rows and Kitchener stitch) is advisable before you embark on this project.
The pattern is written for a foot with a medium circumference of approximately 9”, if you are planning to adjust this, take into consideration the fact that the pattern on the instep will be worked over a multiple of 8.
