These socks are knit from the top down, cuff to toe, constructed of a 2x2 ribbed cuff, followed by stockinette stitch in color work through the rest of the sock. The heel is constructed with a slipped stitch flap and calls for a square heel, a play on a traditional heel, and a traditional, decreased toe with symmetrical shaping. Any sock yarn will work for these but I used an organic merino, single twist fingering (2/3 ply) weight yarn to make these extra squooshie, soft, and cozy.
