April Snow Wrap
THE STORY BEHIND
Springtime brings the first warm days of the year, but still it can be really wintry so a light and drapy scarf is a good companion these days.
This wrap design features chaotic dots and stripes, that remind of fluffy snow flakes and stormy snow flurries on a green background – springtime snow, so to say.
Anyone who knows the music of Prince, has surely heard about April Snow. „Sometimes it snows in April“ always was one of my favourite songs and when Prince passed away, it got a completely new meaning. Because it was April – and it was snowing here in Hamburg. I cannot describe how deeply touching this was.
I hope Prince would like this design, although I’m sure he would have preferred a purple version.
ABOUT
April Snow is an assigned pooling wrap that is knitted diagonally and has an icord edge. There are alternating pattern sections to bring out the unique yarn’s colour play in different ways.
DIMENSIONS
The finished wrap measures about 2,30 m x 0,5 m / 90.5“ x 19.6“ after washing and blocking.
GAUGE
20 sts x 38 rows = 10 cm / 4“
For a shawl or wrap, the gauge is not really important so don’t worry if you don’t meet the exact numbers.
