April Socks
The April Socks are a unique take on a classic rib stitch sock. These socks are designed to be sporty and durable with a modified fisherman’s rib heel & toe and unique applique stripes.
These socks are constructed one at a time from the cuff, down. Heel is shaped at the end using an afterthought heel technique. Stripes running the length of the sock are added at the end using a crochet hook and garter stitch ribs to guide you.
The stripes that run the length of the sock are added at the end using a unique applique technique using a crochet hook. No experience with crochet is required. A photo tutorial for help with this technique can be found on my blog.
The socks shown in the photos are knit using a main color and two accent colors. The red is accent color A and the tan is accent color B. If you prefer to use only one accent color, you may work rows denoted for accent color B in the main color.
