Aquilō
Meandering up and downhill, I walk the path. In the woods, a broad mix of conifers and deciduous trees greet me along the way. Tall dense ferns cover the wooded slopes. Their green ornate fronds gracefully curve mid-air, forming a fascinating and intricate lace.
This is one of my favorite woody spots, surrounded by ferns up to my shoulders.
The Aquilō cowl is freely named after the latin name for eagle fern. Aquilō playfully combines lace reminiscent of tall ferns, reversible cables creating a bark-like texture, and asymmetric scallops. The cowl is reversible with a clear A and B sides for added playfulness. Join us on this woody journey and come play with lace and highly textured cables.
For best effect, use a round yarn with good stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Fingering to Worsted would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, or gradient (single skein or gradient set) yarns.
