Arabella Hat
Crocheters, meet the star stitch! If you have never crocheted the star stitch, or have had trouble with this stitch in the past you have nothing to fear. You will love my step-by-step tutorial and you will soon be zipping through the rows.
For the hat, I have included two sets of instructions, a full tutorial with photos to help you learn the star stitch, and basic instructions that you can graduate to, or use if you already know the star stitch.
The hat is crocheted flat and then seamed, which allows you to decide your stopping point and your perfect hat ribbing circumference.
The pattern uses bulky weight yarn, and I used the color gradient Yarn Bee Arabella yarn (105 yards/100 grams, cotton/acrylic). The hat uses about one and a half skeins of Arabella (about 158 yards), and if you have three skeins you can make the Arabella hat and the matching cowl!
Both the hat and the cowl are great gifting items. And November is the perfect time to get started on your gift crocheting for the holiday season!
