Welcome to the Arabella Shrug Knitting PATTERN. Seamless and knit top down, Arabella is a short sleeved lacy design which can be worn either casually or smart too. Arabella is a colourful cardigan design, knit in a tweedy flecked yarn here (but equally lovely in a solid colour) with an easy flower lace pattern on the fronts and sleeve edges and garter stitch around the neck. Arabella is knit with double knitting yarn, so fairly quick to make.

SKILL LEVEL - advanced beginner/intermediate

SIZING:
6 sizes to fit chest size 16” (18”, 20”, 22”, 24”, 26”), suitable for newborn to 7 years with larger sizes given in parentheses. Positive ease of 1” is worked into the pattern.

GAUGE:
stockinette st 4” x 4” (10cm²) square = 22 sts & 28 rows

YARN:: DK (Double Knitting) yarn. Sample is knit in Sirdar’s Haworth Tweed.
You will need approx 40 (65, 80, 100, 135, 175)g of DK yarn.

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS:
circular needles: 4 mm/US 6
tapestry needle
2 stitch markers
1 button (1.5cm in diameter)
