Arabian Camel
Hello!
For this pattern, it is essential that you use chunky yarn. The camel will not turn out at all the same if you use regular worsted weight yarn, but bulky and chunky yarns will be perfect.
I would like to thank Kaitlin Stocks and her Alpaca pattern for the idea and over-all model of this camel.
This pattern is worked with Yarn Bee Chunky, color 32 Hummus.
I meant to install safety eyes on my camel, but I don’t usually do this and kind of forgot to add them in. (Whoops) But if you would like eyes, install them between the last 2 rows of the face and 2-3 stitches apart.
You will need a 4.25, and 6.5 mm hook, chunky light-colored yarn for camel body, dark yarn for nose, red yarn for reins, 8 small silver bells with a little handle at the top to thread yarn through, stuffing, and a tapestry needle.
The hump, tail, nose, and ears are sewn on.
The feet are worked in as apart of the body.
Enjoy!
