From the pattern:

Arabiyya is the final pattern of a set of three double-knit scarves designed to take advantage of Rowan Felted Tweed’s new Colour line of gradient yarns, combined with one of their classic solids.

This pattern is part of an evolving adaptation of an Arabic or Moroccan pattern I discovered some years ago and have never until now used in a pattern. This snippet of it is expanded in metapixel style so that the pattern can take up more visual “room;” this has the added benefit of making every even-numbered row a “matching” row where all stitches and colors match the row below.

Most of this pattern is done in standard double-knitting but there are (optional) points at both ends using increasing and decreasing.
