UPDATED VERSION AVAILABLE AS OF NOVEMBER 16TH 2024 - ALL DETAILS BELOW

As of the 11/16/24, this pattern has been entirely redesigned and rewritten both to offer much better sizing and bust coverage and to get the pattern in line with my current style guide. The pattern is now over 80 pages and includes over 200 photos (approximately 50 photos per each of the 5 size brackets).

Single size versions of each size bracket are also available on my Etsy for $9 each.

Here are all of the changes and updates to the new pattern:

Photos demonstrating all of the following:

  • Full spreads of the coat, up until the construction of the full skirt and sleeves, for every single size bracket
  • Photos of every single part of construction that could reasonably fit into frame including: back panel, armhole division, construction of front panels, photos of the sides of the skirt (the full skirt would not reasonably fit in frame, and only the sides are relevant if you need to compare your rows), skirt lace, sleeves, sleeve lace.

New design elements:
- Completely revamped construction and sizing for the 4 largest size brackets, providing full bust coverage rather than the same, 8 short rows used in the previous version of the pattern for all sizes

  • The smallest skirt option has been removed, now only two options are available. The “Small” is 23” long and the “Large” is 33” long, and the pattern will instruct you exactly how to decide which size will work best for you. Sizes 4 and 5 use the “Large” option, only, due to extremely specific shaping that must be worked over 16 rows. Exact details are given for how to adjust this length if need be.

  • Please check out my Instagram @chiaroscurosity_designs to see the plethora of pictures from my testers modeling all these brand new versions of the coat!!

PDF Details:
- Due to the length of the pattern, this “all sizes” version has been divided into 2 separate PDFs

  • The first PDF includes instructions for the Bodice and is 45 pages long

  • The second PDF includes instructions for the Skirt and Sleeves and is 37 pages long

  • Both PDFs include clickable page numbers, throughout, so you can easily collate the pages you need for the size you’re working, or just jump through the PDF without needing to scroll through other brackets

Please advise the pattern sample below to compare your skill level. If you cannot reasonably parse these instructions, this pattern will be a challenge for you. If you choose to pursue this pattern but are not an Intermediate crocheter, it is your responsibility to approach this pattern to the best of your ability. Further details are given in the pattern about what I will and will not provide pattern support for. In the meantime, please vet yourself via the sample below.

Sizing:
- The measurements below include Finished Garment Measurements (FGM) but do not advise FGM to select your size bracket, as this will result in an oversized coat that will not fit you! This pattern relies on negative ease to create a fitted silhouette, you don’t want it sagging off of you!
