I saw this cool, slightly twisted pattern, on a pair of socks and I wanted to adapt it for a hat because, why not! It uses knits, purls, and decreases of the knit2together and purl2together variety. I’ve found that sometimes I forget which is inside out and which is right side out on this pattern and it doesn’t matter! They do look different but they both look cute.

I’ve given stitch counts for three sizes of hat in the following format:
(Newborn / 3 month / 6 month)

• Newborn Hat is 6” long and has a 9” circumference
• 3 month hat is 7 ¾” long and has a 10 ¼” circumference (approx)
• 6 month hat is 7 ¾” long and has a 11.5” circumference (approx)
