Aran Cardigan
Description from Book:
A woman’s cardigan knitted in a combination of diamond, cable and trinity stitch patterns. The neckband, front bands and cuffs are worked in rib, but the lower border is in trinity stitch which makes a firm and unusual edging. The sleeves have a repeat of the diamond and cable designs of the back and fronts, with a reversed stocking stitch borders.
Materials: 16 (17:19) balls (50-gr) Lister-Lee Aran Wool: two each 5mm (US 8), 4.5mm (US 7) and 3.75mm(US 5) needles; cable needle; 8 buttons.
NOTE: According to the Book Sirdar or EMU aran weight wools can be substituted for the Lister-Lee Aran
Measurements: To fit 33-35(36-38:39-41)in bust; length 25(25.5: 26)ins; sleeve 18ins.
Tension: as stated above AND 16 sts and 18 rows to 3 ins over trinity stitch on 5mm (No6) needles.
