Aran Ornaments
The crisp scent of pine needles, fluffy snowflakes falling outside, sitting in front the of the fire curled up in a cozy, cabled sweater….my idea of a perfect holiday. This week’s pattern--a trio of sweater-inspired Christmas ornaments--reminds me of a real Northern Christmas. One features three classic cables, another highlights a slipped stitch pattern and the third is simple stockinette. Stuffed with wool roving, a bit of lavender and hanging by an ecru satin ribbon secured with a tiny button, these ornaments double as fragrant sachets when you take the tree down in January.
At Wool & Honey, we believe that the best way to celebrate the holidays is with a handcrafted gift.
Something special--a little slip of a silk scarf, a pair of fuzzy, wooly mitts, a handknit ornament--that with a little time, a little money and a little foresight could become the most treasured gift you give all year.
