Aran Sampler Blanket, Square 11
Eleventh in a series of 12 squares to make an Aran sampler blanket/throw, this square is a simple cable design with both a chart and written instructions. The pattern assumes basic knowledge of cables, and would be suitable for an adventurous beginner in the technique.
If making only one square, use 1 ball of the suggested yarn, or any other worsted weight yarn. 3 balls will make 4 squares, so if making the entire 12 square blanket, you will need 9 balls of yarn.
Gauge for these squares is approximate, as it is not a fitted garment. Finished measurement is 13” x 13” for all squares, after suitable blocking. Wet block for natural fibre, gently steam block for acrylic and acrylic blends. A wool/acrylic or nylon blend is recommended for ease of cleaning and durability.
Please note that while great care has been taken in the designing and writing of this pattern, mistakes do occasionally occur. If you should find one, please let me know and I will make the necessary corrections.
Price listed is for one square only. An e-book will follow, once all squares are finished the design process. No refund will be given for purchase of single squares if you decide to purchase the e-book later.
